Greetings! JOURNEYS: STORIES OUR BODIES CAN TELL [ISBN 978-09792805-1-1] The body has stories to tell, not just the mind ... TOUCH THE OCEAN [ISBN 978-0-9792805-0-4] Can one light touch change the world? TOUCH THE OCEAN:THE POWER OF OUR COLLECTIVE EMOTIONS (Audio CD) [ISBN 978-0-9792805-4-2] The fresh, new Audio Book, read by the author in his rented cottage in South Florida, narrates compelling stories of heart centered presence and ocean healing. Available at New Leaf from February 2010! TOUCH THE OCEAN, THE POWER OF OUR COLLECTIVE EMOTIONS, by celebrated craniosacral therapist, James Nemec, narrates compelling stories of heart centered presence and ocean healing. He explores the history of craniosacral, mind altering connections with dolphins, and with our environment. Upledger Institute certified, Nemec combines science and intuition to heal individuals previously considered beyond help. The case studies presented explain the curious life-elixir Nemec brews between the ocean, sky, and the energies of our collective conscious. "Are our bodies oceans in miniature?" At the end, the author stands the book upside down, challenging us to find out for ourselves. TOUCH THE OCEAN: THE POWER OF OUR COLLECTIVE EMOTIONS, is about a way of being with ourselves and others, being with the ocean and the sky in a healing context, even with the weather and weather patterns, and it is also about a new way of light touch, largely unknown, which is proven to relieve and treat an array of symptoms from migraines to depression, scoliosis to seizures, TMJ to ADD, and above all, which gently helps us to discover old story patterns long held within our bodies and to harmlessly release them.
In JOURNEYS: STORIES OUR BODIES CAN TELL, although not to be mistaken for a cure-all, experience the smile of an infant who recovers from seizures that have been deemed unsolvable by doctors, and her mother’s relief. Share the moment with a man who has suffered from Restless Leg Syndrome for 6 years as he breaks the syndrome and can sleep full nights again. Discover the joy of a Border terrier that can walk again. Meet, “Our Lady of Guadalupe” who appears as a companion and protector in one session, and later, travel to ancient Lemuria with a mother determined to recover the soul of her lost child.
JOURNEYS: STORIES OUR BODIES CAN TELL, takes us on a journey beyond traditional medicine to reflect all that readers have come to expect of this lyrical story teller. Some stories are familiar, including Nemec's unique approach to the light touch hands-healing art of craniosacral therapy, others are new. Here we depart his work in the ocean with clients and with dolphins and return to the "back room" of the acute care clinic on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. This therapy can be performed anywhere, and anything becomes possible. Innovative Playwright's New Book Goes Beyond Traditional Medicine. Nemec’s command of each detail of the craniosacral therapy sessions are bound to entertain, surprise, and make readers – even those who haven’t experienced craniosacral therapy — feel they are at one, in the blend, and there. "James Nemec not only knows what he's doing as a therapist, he can write about it too - a rare combination!” Suzanne Scurlock-Durana, CST-D SPIRALS WITHIN SPIRALS: STONES HAVE STORIES TO TELL Travel to Ancient Ireland and Explore how light a light touch can be! Travel to Ancient Ireland and Explore how light a light touch can be! This online essay by James Nemec explores the "spiralling impressions" from ancient Knowth to the Joyce Tower in Ireland, while using a light touch. Inspired by light touch palpation skills in light touch therapies and "blending" from the healing art of Craniosacral Therapy. One page each week will be posted for 9 glorious weeks! Take along this question for your visit there-- If our bodies can tell stories, can the stones of the Earth tell stories too? What is the relationship, if there is one? Spirals Within Spirals represents a fine Midpoint for the author's four book series: Two books are now out and available, Touch the Ocean and Journeys, and two more books are to follow in 2010 and 2011, Awake and Asleep, and then a total and delightful surprise! The author, Nemec, thanks Knowth.com for the privilege and permissions to borrow miraculous photos from the archives! Live on Knowth.com from the Winter Solstice of 2009!

Bookshelf at Harvard COOP, Photographed by friends,11/2008 AWARD WINNER! Touch the Ocean has just won a modest National Award, and Finalist in Health: Alternative Medicine. The aim was to make a book on a very complex subject that could appeal to the general educated reader Except for Your Inner Physician and You, by Dr. John E. Upledger, the books on craniosacral have been too medical or technical to understand. Although the audience for these books is small and highly specialized as well as sophisticated, it worked! By the end of reading a delightful narrative the reader has a hit on craniosacral therapy.
TOUCH THE OCEAN - AUDIOBOOK CD/MP3 - Forthcoming! Later this year! An AudioBook of Touch the Ocean is now being made by the author in his own cottage in South Florida. This setting is announced at the outset of the AudioBook. Inspired by Douglas Adams having done this with his own books, including The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and armed with a theater background as an Actor's Equity Actor (AEA) and LA playwright, the AudioBook is said to be "enveloping" and a "real page turner," like Touch the Ocean itself. This will be unabridged, and include extra story information that is not in the First Edition of the book, Touch the Ocean, as space did not allow. Planned for Winter, 2009. New Leaf Distributing.
JOURNEYS: STORIES OUR BODIES CAN TELL NOW IN PRINT! Feel free to read a sample chapter on Scribd.com now. The author wondered, "Who am I to tell other's deeply intimate stories without risking the tell of my own?" He broke a large volume of actual case histories in craniosacral therapy into two, easy-to-read books, and wrote Touch the Ocean in 2 weeks to offer his 'own' story first. The next book, Journeys: Stories our Bodies Can Tell, written in no less lyrical and poetic fashion, provides a wider grasp of this leading edge "light touch" modality by treating case history after case history--some unsolvable neurological disorders. It also goes more into the medical science of craniosacral therapy but in a way that anyone can grasp. Illustrations. Planned for Summer, 2009, this will form part of a "literary triptych." New Leaf Distributing.
Journey beyond traditional medicine. Our bodies tell stories, whether we are aware of it or not. Others can often tell us our stories before we ourselves know what they are. Even domestic animals. What we don’t know won’t hurt us, “ignorance is bliss,” but some of our body’s stories can unintentionally hurt others as much as heal. The author of “Touch the Ocean,” L.A. playwright, and Upledger craniosacral therapist, articulates prismatic case histories. The body, not just the mind, has stories to tell. At the end, he stands the book on its head, challenging us to find out for ourselves. – A book for the concerned doctor, for hands-on healing artists, for those who love them, for lovers of story, for those who simply enjoy browsing case histories. What if we said this is the prequel to Touch the Ocean, and Part 2 of the "CraniOcean Trilogy" (We could also call it a Literary Triptych) James Nemec, a poet and playwright, has also worked as a craniosacral therapist for more than 15 years. Regarded an expert in his field, his unique intuitive, yet clinical approach, in a blend with Craniosacral Therapy, has been known soothe and relax those who are well, of all ages, and also, to relieve and also to treat a variety of “unsolvable” neurological disorders.

Living the Dream The author, in a lyrical style, shares an intimate account of his own life experiences and emotions and in doing so compels the reader to consider different ways to experience life. He recounts stories of healing touch in the ocean with his fascinating hands-on work with dolphins and humans in the Bahamas and also shows how each dolphin can have an entirely unique approach to healing.
Few in traditional and alternative medicine know what they are doing or saying when it comes to CranioSacral Therapy. For example, why is it true that CranioSacral Therapy is safe for all ages, from the elderly to infants? Could it be because the touch used is to very light and so non-intrusive? "As a note, someone needs to point out that it was really nice of James to make these books. He didn't have to. Each book is contribution, a simple thank you, as an act of appreciation ...." -- GN, Environmental Therapist, Ireland Now, another easy-to-read, beautiful book for your reading pleasure based on real life stories. This 2nd book, Journeys, filled with documented results with clients of all ages, for example, a fine man rapidly relieved of PTSD after years of being wrongly diagnosed, an infant suffering from seizues that corrected in minutes, even a small dog named "Poco" that could not walk, will expand and enhance your experience and vision of what is possible! Roy Nuzzo, MD, surgeon, diplomat of Rutgers, Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and a former US Naval Officer, logs in to share the experience from Sarah Lawrence College:
