    Imagine yourself in paradise on a relaxing massage table, finally getting the deep nurturing and rest you were really looking for but didn't get in Cancun or the Islands...

    In the Palm Beaches, CraniOcean® sessions can alternate between a relaxing massage table and even the ocean.  The Palm Beach cottage, an authentic Florida cottage built in 1929 with lots of green, palm trees and sunlight.  The Cottage is described as a quiet paradise by those who have visited. 

     James's clients and/or patients know that he has been based in LA on Melrose Avenue for many years and that he's now based in the Palm Beaches.  Although he works out of Palm Beach now, he continues to travel and often returns to LA--so keep track of when he travels through the CraniOcean.Calm News

     He is often invited around the country to work with families, friends, kids(CranioSacral for Pediatrics), even around the world.  Lodging is then provided by the Host or Hostess.  (see Mini-Intensives, below)

By Appointment

    What is the price? 

    Let's look at this for a minute, shall we? 

     If someone is on meds, the question is, what is the price each time she or he visits the drugstore? Add up the weeks.  Factor into this, months, years, annoying insurance premiums.

    If you go out to fine dinners with wine for distraction each week,  or the club scene, factor in the days, weekends, then the months, years, hassle of internet billing.

    The proper question is, "What are you paying now?" 

    And on what purpose?

     It could be "the world is upside down and backwards," ever hear that?  If it wasn't, someone such as yours truly would be paid 10,000.00 an hour, the surgeon 240.00 or 120.00 an hour.

     (I'm speaking here for a lot of fine intuitive bodyworkers, massage therapists, counselors, and doctors--conventional and alternative-JN)

     It can take some time to get used to a new idea. And its value.  For example, it took time for our great-grandparents to adjust to automobiles, the same will apply to space travel for the average educated citizen of the future.

     If the health giving, resonant effects of sessions are reported by All to last days, weeks, months, and if there is no charge for what happens in the-time-between-sessions, and if it WORKS, what would it be worth to you?

     Note-- Sessions with pregnant or nursing mothers rarely last longer than 45 minutes.  The same applies to sessions with infants.  Parents actively participate in sessions with their kids!

    All that happens in a session is free, I charge only for my time.

Home Base--Palm Beaches

     Now, in West Palm Beach, James schedules by appointment, 11am to 7pm.   He does 4 sessions per day, 4 days each week.  Email here to arrange your next appointment in the Palm Beaches.  Make sure to wear comfortable clothes for your appointment, like you would in a Pilates or Yoga Class, and bring your water for deeper cleansing after the session time is over.

When in Acute Care Clinics, Offices, Spas

     When at work in offices, in LA, Florida, or anywhere else, there is naturally an office overhead to pay. 

     Depending on your Coverage, Insurance will approve under "Massage Therapy." Finding this out--as well as any insurance paperwork--is up to you.  Otherwise, the nationwide code for Unlisted Physical Medicine and CranioSacral Therapy falls under code # 97799

     When in clinics, offices, spas, the privilege of your session time is up to you.  It might be useful to bear this in mind. This also applies to the Mini-Intensive when performed in an office or clinic.

    
Mini-Intensives

     James has been offering "Mini-Intensives" since 1998.  It started when a very busy client visiting from New York City was inspired to do a lot of session work in a short time.  It worked, and many others have benefited ever since then.  Here is a passage from his journal that James wrote in 2001 while planning his new book, JOURNEYS: STORIES OUR BODIES CAN TELL:

     David would be back to his restaurants in New York soon and I wanted to encourage him to see what there was to discover for himself, if he was willing to take the time. It occurred to me to frame our sessions in a form that was reasonably acceptable for him. He’d had over a decade of talk therapy at scheduled intervals, and so I suggested we could view our sessions together as a “mini-intensive.”
      He smiled. I enthusiastically described a full intensive might go on eight hours a day for a couple of weeks, such as the Brain and Spinal Cord Dysfunction or Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome(PTSD) intensive seminars held at the Upledger Institute in South Florida; however, mine was a small office serving a small client population and anyone who showed up here appeared as a privilege and a grace. I was being as sincere and up front with him as I could. The nearest we’d get to a setup like the Upledger Institute would be a mini-intensive and meeting twice a week or more. I had sensed we were onto something. He seemed to understand the feelings I had behind the words and felt good about it. We agreed that this was now a mini-intensive, and I continue to this practice with out-of-towners to this day.

      Virtually all who have since partaken of the Mini-Intensives report this format to be "life-changing," "healing", even "transformative", with flows of harmony and health arising and expanding for weeks, months and even years beyond!

     What is the 'format?'  Sessions are set up at 2 sessions a day for three days, for a total of 6 sessions, or 2 sessions a day for four days, making a total of 8 sessions. Mothers and daughters, Parents and Infants, Mothers and Sons, even long time childhood Friends have all flown in from around the country, participated, and benefited.

     Could it be that a rise in conscious awareness for one of us, is a rise in conscious awareness for us all?

     James played a role in introducing CranioSacral Therapy to Southern California as the first in Southern California to be Diplomat Certified by the Upledger Institute. 

Travel to Mini-Intensives

     When James is invited to perform Mini-Intensives in other states and in other countries, his travel and expenses are met by the Host.  Work is often referred him by Doctors of both the Conventional and Alternative medical communities. 

Multi-Person Sessions

     Often James works on two or more people at the same time on one or more treatment tables, for example, mother and children, or husband and wife, or mother and infant, father and son, etc.  For these rare, very special bonding sessions, James's session rate is per person whatever the age of the person(s).

Studio Talks

It is a little known fact that just as there is an art to learning manual healing art there is also an art to receiving it...

     James may often talk and demonstrate approaches to CranioSacral, Massage, Grounding and Presence, and Learning How to Learn. The only requirement is that the person feel drawn to attend. There is usuallya Suggested Donation for his Talks.

Insurance?

     This may be an unpopular view, but over the years, he has worked with patients and clients who had fine Insurance and with those who did not have any and has found almost invariably that those who do NOT have insurance tend to get better much faster than those who are on Insurance!  He's not sure why this is so and invites you, the reader, to think about it.

    Incredibly, those who are NOT on insurance plans tend to get better and faster!

     Insurance does not yet commonly prescribe CranioSacral Therapy and in reality, reimbursement depends on your coverage and on your own incentive to apply your coverage.  It can also be billed under Massage Therapy.

     This said, for Doctors (MD, DDS, DC) who seek James's services for themselves and for their families, the nationwide code for Unlisted Physical Medicine and CranioSacral Therapy falls under code # 97799.

Dogs, Cats, Horses

     When he works on other species, including, dogs, cats, horses, the time is "up to a half hour", in other words, sometimes only fifteen or twenty minutes will be needed but it will fall under the half hour rate.

Special Offerings

• Mini-Intensives" can be scheduled in "session cycle" anywhere from a weekend to a period of a week. They are best suited for those who may not live in the Los Angeles or  (Florida) area or abroad.  They may be based on two sessions per day per person and couples.
• CranioSacral sessions with more than one Therapist (Multiple Hands On) are available and can be arranged with advanced notice.
• James works with Household Pets (Dogs & Cats) at his location or yours.
• He works with Equines at your barn or stable location withadvanced notice on s suggested donation basis.
• There are times when outcall appointments in Los Angeles and in the Valley are possible, usually depending on location and on need.

The Melrose Neighborhood?

     In LA, parking used to be a Rite of Passage in itself. Between 7:00 am and 7:00 PM, Park on the East side of either Westbourne or West Knoll on the south side of Melrose.

     The West Health Connection on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles has been a neighborhood long on the Spiritual Seeker Circuit with the Bodhi Tree Bookstore and delightful Urth Café across the street. The Bodhi Tree is where Shirley McLaine "began" her Spiritual Quest in Out on a Limb.

       People would visit our neighborhood and office from across the country and internationally.  And that was then...

Farewell L.A. Office!  Farewell Back Room!!

     For more than 35 years, the complimentary care clinic on Melrose Avenue has been contributing well being, healing, and health to others. The Doctors, Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists, Zone Therapists, have now dispersed. Even the wonderful aromatherapy store, Aunt Vi’s Garden, is gone from 8576 Melrose Avenue. People have called, or visitedto work with yours truly here in Florida, and say a void is there now, or that it’s like Katrina hit the place. Nobody saw this coming! 

     Think of the privilege to have been there. YOU are the Heroes and Heroines! You made it work!
